A message from our Club Chair 🚨
Wednesday’s victory in the County Hurling Final was a fantastic night for our club and especially for the team and the coaches.
A big thank you to all the coaches, parents and players who came along to cheer on the lads.
It was super to see so many young boys and girls wearing their Gers gear and celebrating with great gusto.
It was the culmination of five years of relentless hard work by our three great coaches, Finbarr, Colm and Richard.
Thank you for all your efforts and for the enjoyment you have given us following this team.
It is a massive achievement and one which will give encouragement to the many young hurlers, both male and female who we hope, will graduate to the senior ranks.
We look forward to presenting the team their medals at the Club Christmas Party in Killiney on November 29th.
Late on Wednesday evening our Club President, Andy Gibbons summed it up when he said, ‘Have we ever had a better night?’
It was also great to be in Abbotstown again on Saturday to watch the U13’s Southern Gaels win their final league game of their season. Well done to our mentors and the Shankill mentors aswell.
Now our attention turns to our Minor Football teams, both Girls and Boys, who have upcoming finals. We hope to see large crowds out at both the finals to cheer on the next generation!
