End of the Adult season! Gers round-up 🚨

Our Under 15 Girls played some fantastic football in their last Championship group-stage fixture on the weekend with a strong win against St.Patrick’s Donabate.

Well done to the girls and their mentors, we are looking forward to their Semi Final later in October!

Our underage Camogie teams have been busy in the last while.

Our U10 team played 3 games against Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Rua, the girls put on a great performance for their supporters including Club Chair Ger Moffatt.

While our U8 side welcomed Ballyboden to a wet Ballyogan on the 16th of September. It was the first time this year we fielded three teams in U8s Camogie, despite the tricky conditions the girls showed plenty of spirit and determination.

Our U9 Boys played two Hurling matches V Faughs on Saturday morning. They were tough opposition, but our Boys did the club proud. Our men of the match were Jack McGrath & Oisín Byrne.

Our U10 Boys took part in their County Football Blitz on Saturday the 14th in Cherryfield, where they played three really competitive matches, two against Ballyboden St. Endas and one against Naoimh Olaf’s.

Our U12 Girls were in action last weekend against Clanna Gael in Ballyogan, well done to both teams for putting on a great show. Our girls are going from strength to strength.

Our U13s Girls were in action on Sunday in Marlay Park, after a slow start the Gers girls played themselves into the match vs Ballinteer St John’s. With the home side running out winners on a scoreline of 4:10 to 2:8.

25 Under 12 Hurlers took to the field this weekend and everyone acquitted themselves really well. Our Amber team travelled to Donabate and registered a strong win.

They are top of Division 4 in Dublin and have a showdown v Clan Na Gael Saturday week in Meadowvale. All club support will be welcome.

Our Black squad travelled to Thomas Davis and while they came up short on the score board, they played really well against strong opposition. The group’s attention turns to football this weekend!

Hard luck to our U16 Boys who were beaten by Ballyboden on Saturday in Cornelscourt, their next Championship game is in two weeks time.

Our Adult Ladies lost their final game of the year on Wednesday night to old foes Thomas Davis in Kiltipper. The Girls this year also secured promotion to Division 7 and the club would like to congratulate the team and their mentors on their efforts throughout the year.

It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for our Adult Men’s Footballers.

On Saturday evening our Intermediate Men’s side lost their Championship relegation play-off to O’Tooles after extra-time in a titanic battle.

While on Sunday afternoon, our Junior team won their relegation play-off in Marlay Park against Ballinteer St. Johns. Their game also went to extra-time with our lads finding a way to get over the line!

The date for the Gers Christmas Party has been set for the 30th of November at the Killiney Castle Hotel. So make sure to keep the date in your diaries!

Best of luck to all our club teams in action this weekend! #GersAbú💛🖤
