Our Early season round-up!

It’s a been busy start to the year so far, with plenty of Juvenile and Adult games taking place aswell as a variety of club activities. We wrap up some of them here.

Our U10 Girls have been in both Football and Camogie action already this year.

They enjoyed their first Camogie outing of the year against St. Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh, while they were in Football action aswell, playing some great matches against Naomh Olaf and Clanna Gael.

Our U10 Boys have also had a busy start to the season with plenty of matches, including a home football match against St. Vincents.
While they also enjoyed a trip to Croke Park to watch the Dublin Men’s Footballers beat Galway in Croke Park earlier this month.
Our Minor Girls have opened up their season with wins against Ballyboden St Enda and Ballinteer St Johns, well done to the players and their mentors.

Our Southern Gaels Minor Boys got their first win of the season last weekend when they beat St Kevins Killians in Kingswood.

Our U11 Girls recently made the trip to Clontarf to play Scoil Ui Chonaill in Camogie. It was their first Camogie game of the spring series and they gave a super performance, showing that all their hard work is paying off!

Well done to our U8 Boys Hurlers who had their first home Go-Games matches earlier this month.

All the lads showed great skills and we are looking forward to watching their journey in our club colours.

Our U9s Camogie teams got their season off to a super start when they hosted St Anne's in Ballyogan on Sunday. A big shout out to the 2017 Girls who have joined up with this group and played their first ever official game for the Gers. No doubt it’s the first of many!

Hard luck to our U15 Boys who lost their Féile semi-final out in Lusk on Sunday. The lads were decked out in their new gear, sponsored by Shanai Restaurant.
Our Adult Ladies have started the season with a couple of defeats in the Cup competition but they have made progress under the new management team, with plenty of new faces making their debuts for the team. We wish them well ahead of the start of the Division 6 season.
Our Adult Hurlers won their opening league game of the season against Lucan Sarsfields and are training hard ahead of their upcoming matches.
Our Adult Men’s AFL4 team have won two of their first three league games so far, suffering a defeat to Castleknock on Sunday. Johnny Roche suffered a serious injury in the game and everyone at the club wishes him well for his recovery. All the best Johnny!

Our AFL10 team beat Templeogue Sygne Street on Sunday afternoon with our Minor player Aódhan Kennedy playing a starring role, scoring 1-01. While Alex Mason also played a stormer, Alex celebrated his 21st Birthday the night before and he was in fine form less than 24 hours later!

We wish all our club teams the best ahead of their matches this weekend!
