The Gers Weekend Round-up
Well done to our young Camogie stars as the club fielded underage Camogie teams for the first time.
The U8s [pictured] were in action in Ballyboden, while the U9s played in Kilbogget Park. Both teams did the club proud, a big thank you to their mentors and all who came to support.
Our U8 boys hurling team were in a sunny Cornelscourt on Saturday morning to play Kilmacud. Thanks to our excellent club refs Tadhg, Morgan and Aodhan.
The U11 boys team travelled to Galway on Saturday, where they played two matches. First up they played Castlegar in a hurling game before they headed on to play St. James GAA club in a football challenge match.
Well done to the coaching team for organising a great trip.
Thank you to both clubs for looking after our players and supporters so well, and we look forward to one day returning the favour to both club
And finally our Adult hurling team beat St. Kevin's Killians today in Kingswood by 2-15 to 3-10.
The team were captained by Frank McCarthy [pictured], who had a busy weekend as he is one of our U8 camogie team mentors. The hurlers are unbeaten so far in 2023.
Well done to all those who wore our club colours this weekend and all those that came to support our teams.
